The TSV Mindelheim Youth Club Championships 2026 kicked off with exciting and fair matches, traditionally beginning with the doubles competitions. The B-level doubles competition started things off. In the final, Lena Krewe and Lara Unterseher left no doubt about their superiority. With a commanding 3-0 victory, they secured the club championship title against Max Unterseher and Emil Demmler. Simultaneously, the A-level doubles competition was underway. Here, the pairings were drawn by lot, so that each pair consisted of one player from the first youth division and one from the second. The competition was played in a round-robin format, and in the final, Stefan Wucher and Noa Jakljevic delivered a strong performance, deservedly defeating Sebastian Wucher and Sabber MD 3-1 to claim the A-level club championship title. The doubles competitions thus provided a successful start to the tournament, delivering many impressive rallies, exciting matches, and a fantastic atmosphere in the hall right from the beginning.
After a short break, the individual competitions began. The first to start was the C-level category, in which the young players who are not yet part of an official team competed. The youngsters battled it out in exciting and hard-fought matches for the club championship title. All participants showed great commitment and impressed with some spectacular rallies. In the end, Max Unterseher emerged undefeated and secured the club championship title. Lena Krewe took second place, also delivering a strong performance. Lara Unterseher, Lisa Unterseher, and Emil Demmler followed in the subsequent places, all of whom also showed great enthusiasm and gained valuable competitive experience for the first time.
Simultaneously, the individual competition for team players already actively participating in league play took place. Playing in a round-robin format, every point was hard-fought, resulting in numerous exciting and high-caliber matches. Everything culminated in the anticipated final between Sebastian and Stefan Wucher. After close sets with fantastic and spectacular rallies, Sebastian ultimately prevailed, successfully defending his club championship title from the previous year. The remaining places in the overall standings were fiercely contested and decided only by better set ratios. Noa Jakljevic ultimately secured third place, followed by Sabber MD, Gabriel Kobold, and Maximilian Schmid. Based on these overall results, Noa Jakljevic also claimed the title of club champion in performance class B.
The 2026 youth club championships once again offered the numerous spectators exciting table tennis, fair competition, and many impressive rallies. The young players impressively demonstrated that TSV Mindelheim has a dedicated and high-performing group of young talent.
