World and European Champions in Mindelheim
Many internationally acclaimed tournaments have already taken place in Mindelheim. These included exhibition tournaments with Jacques Secretin/Vincent Burkhard or Chinese top players, as well as the TT-Munz-Cup. This event is held as several individual tournaments in different cities. One of these tournaments, featuring a top-class lineup, took place in Mindelheim and thrilled the fans. Timo Boll
The most successful German table tennis player, he is considered one of the sport’s smartest tacticians and is also known for his fair play. In China, the home of table tennis world champions, he is one of the most popular Germans. Throughout his career, Timo Boll has won numerous international championship titles. In 2003, he became world number one for the first time and remained in the top 15 for over fifteen years. In March 2018, he climbed to the top for the fourth time, becoming the oldest world number one to date. His most significant individual achievements include:

Jan-Ove Waldner
A Swedish table tennis professional, he became World Champion twice (1989 and 1997), European Champion once (1996), and Olympic Champion once (1992) in singles. He also won the European ranking tournament Europe TOP-12 seven times and was Swedish Champion ten times. He is considered one of the greatest players of all time in the history of table tennis.
Petr Korbel
A Czech table tennis player, he played for several German Bundesliga clubs and was a 5-time German Team Champion. He participated in 12 World Championships, 4 Olympic Games, 6 European Championships, and 9 Europe Top-12 tournaments. He was also the Youth European Champion in 1988.
Christian Süß
German table tennis player who won the European Championship four times with the German team, one Olympic silver medal and two World Championship silver medals. In doubles he also became European champion four times, vice world champion in 2005 and won gold at the Pro Tour Grand Finals in 2005 and 2009. Patrick Baum
is a German table tennis player. He became Junior World Champion in singles in 2005, Vice European Champion in 2010 and 2011, and German Champion in 2016.
Lucjan Błaszczyk
A Polish national player, he started playing table tennis at the age of ten with the Polish club LKS Lumel Zielona Góra. He also participated in all three Olympic Games between 1996 and 2004.
